What’s on tap in your city?

Three Ways to List What’s On Tap

TapLister offers three ways to let others know what’s on tap at your favorite local watering hole, and what taps have just run dry.

Edit Taplists with Taplister app for iPhone

If you have an iPhone, one of the easiest ways to update taps is with the free Taplister app.  The app communicates directly with the Taplister database on the server, so changes are made immediately.  Also, as you type in a new beer, it uses text completion using the vast beer names database from RateBeer.com.  This means you usually won’t have to type the entire beer name, and better yet when you select a beer name from that list, it will link to the beer’s rating, ABV, style, and description from RateBeer.com.  If you have the RateBeer upgrade in the Taplister app, you can see the RateBeer ratings and descriptions when viewing the tap list.

Through the Taplister Site

To search for a beer on tap right now browse our Bars and Beers tabs on the navigation bar above, or use the Live Beer Search in the upper right hand corner just above the navigation bar.

You can help us help you by sharing the location of a great brew. List new beers that go on tap with Taplister.com to create the ultimate database of live beers. It’s easy, all you need is your Twitter login information. Then follow these two steps.

1: Tweet a Beer
Just click on the tab labled Tweet a Beer on the navigation bar above and log into your Twitter account.

2: Type the Beer and the Bar
To list a beer that you’re sure is on tap at a specific bar, just type the beer name in the left text field, and then the bar name in the right text field.

Tweeting from the Web or Another Client

You can list a beer on tap using Twitter’s web app or any Twitter client.

Capitalize the Beer and Bar names.
Place an “at” before the name of the bar.
Don’t forget the #ontap— hashtag, depending on what city you’re in.

In Portland, on tap: Widmer Brothers Drifter Pale Ale at Widmer Gasthaus #ontappdx
Example for Portland, off tap: Widmer Brothers Drifter Pale Ale off at Widmer Gasthaus #ontappdx

Here is a list of supported cities and their corresponding #hashtags:

Note: Make sure you use your city’s corresponding #hashtag and the database will stay accurate. As cities are added they will appear in the city drop down on the Home page.
